Roc Nation boss Jay Z has reportedly promised Harry Styles that he will make him “the biggest artist in the world”.
The hiphop icon has vowed to give Harry the support he needs to begin a solo career away from his band One Direction. Harry has been working hard on his solo songs. Among the songs are: 5378 Miles, Already Home, Coco and Endlessly. This sparked speculation that he was going solo after spending 5 years with the band headed by Simon Cowell.
Jay Z has reportedly told Daily Star Sunday that: “Harry doesn’t need any help with exposure, everybody in the world knows who he is, but he does not need to make the transition from being part of a group to becoming an individual artist”.
The music mogul also told the newspaper he plans to work with Harry’s present boss Simon as part of a partnership deal.
“I would love to sign Harry. Simon is going to carry on working with him, of course. But we could do a joint venture – we both have big qualities we can bring to the table,” he said.
Meanwhile, Harry may be sceptical about the truth of Jay Z’s promise after his pal, Rita Nora filed a law suit against Roc Nation recently.
Ora, who was signed to Roc Nation in 2008, has not released an album in the last 3 years, and is presenting herself as been “orphaned” by the label in the court – she claims she funded large part of her promotions.
