Kano State governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, who recently got re-elected, has said anyone who does not pass a drug test will not work with him.
According to Guardian, he revealed that he is looking to employ people to fill in the roles of special assistants, heads of agencies and commissioners in his government, as long as they do not fail a drug test.
Guardian also reports that Mr Abdullahi said he is insisting on the test because of the high rate of drug abuse in Kano State even though his government recently wrapped up plans to set up a state-owned drug abuse agency to reduce drug addiction.
Governor Ganduje’s present cabinet will be dissolved on May 29, 2019.
He clinched four more years after the March 29 supplementary gubernatorial election in Kano.
