Atiku Abubakar, the candidate for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the most recent election for president of Nigeria, has stated that despite his defeat in the election, he plans to continue to be involved in Nigerian politics.
He vowed to continue working with the appropriate stakeholders, especially younger people, in order to ensure that the nation realizes its full potential.
This was said by Atiku on Monday during a press conference that was held for international journalists at the party’s Secretariat in Abuja.
The former vice president also commented on the decision of the Supreme Court, which affirmed President Bola Tinubu’s election to office.
Atiku has stated that he will not be leaving the political scene anytime soon, despite rumors to the contrary suggesting otherwise. The former vice president has made a number of unsuccessful bids for the presidency in the past.
He told her, “Don’t even bother thinking about it if you believe I’m going to disappear. As long as I have breath in my body, I will keep working toward the goal of helping Nigerians realize their full potential.
He charged that the Independent National Electoral Commission, often known as INEC, had tampered with the most recent election and insisted that Bola Tinubu did not meet the requirements to run for office.
Atiku further claimed that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) took sides while defending the results of the election held on February 25 before the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal and the Supreme Court.
