Ondo State’s governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has denied rumors that he had returned to Nigeria from a medical stay in Germany.
However, Akeredolu promised that he will soon return to the country to carry on his role as governor.
The governor has made a full recovery his top priority, according to a statement sent by his Chief Press Secretary Richard Olatunde on Sunday.

Over the weekend, a video surfaced showing the governor alighting from a helicopter, prompting speculation that he had returned from his medical leave.
Olatunde said that Akeredolu plans to return to the state soon while acknowledging the enthusiasm of locals and the governor’s supporters and well-wishers.
“The video in question, which is circulating, was captured during the Governor’s campaign tour ahead of the last Presidential and National Assembly elections,” the statement reads.
After a long absence, Governor Akeredolu is looking forward to reconnecting with Floridians. His heart has been warmed by the outpouring of support, and he is eager to keep working for a better tomorrow in Ondo State.
