Ex-Arsenal player, Cesc Fabregas has come out to say that Erling Haaland is too special and too good. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he wishes he had played alongside a player of his calibre because he is a footballer who can make a difference in any game.
Fabregas added that defenders cannot afford to be complacent vs Haaland since he is a machine.
His words, “But I think when you are talking about this type of players like Haaland, you cannot really say anything like that because he will just put you to shame in a way. You know, he will make it happen. He will break the record – now he didn’t score, but he will score three. He’s too special and too good. And he plays in such a good team all around the pitch that there is always a gap or a way for him to make a difference at any point in any game. And especially in the form that he’s in now, I would never get too complacent, you know, if I was a central defender or an Arsenal player or any player in any other team when we play against Haaland because the guy’s a machine. I really like him. I wish I played with a striker of his calibre and yeah, we need to always be on our toes to stop him.”
WOW.
Erling Braut Haaland is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Premier League club Manchester City and the Norway national team. Haaland holds the record for the most goals scored by a player in a single Premier League season, with 36.
Haaland was born on 21 July 2000 in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, as his father Alfie Haaland was playing for Leeds United in the Premier League at the time. In 2004, at the age of three, he moved to Bryne, his parents’ hometown in Norway.
Along with playing football from an early age, Haaland took part in various other sports as a child, including handball, golf, and track and field.
