Convicted Nollywood actress, Ibinabo Fiberesima, after being granted bail from the Kirikiri Prison has become a women’s rights activist.
She lent her voice to the cause centred on fighting against sexual violence towards women in the society.
Her concern was focused on changing the mentality of the society that has made women more of an object.
She wrote, “Give her a Book to read not her Boob for your play. Pay her school fees not her bride price. Give her an Education not your Ejaculation, Say NO to sexual Violence.”
Fiberesima was granted bail from Kirikiri prison for the sum of N2million on Thursday, April 7, 2016, so she can get medical attention for her breast cancer ailment.
She is now awaiting a Supreme Court verdict on her against the manslaughter charge resulting from the killing of Dr. Suraj Giwa in a motor accident caused by the actress.
