The National President of Nigerian Political Science Association, NPSA, Prof. Aloysius-Michael Okolie, has come out to say that we cannot have an Igbo president in Nigeria in 2023 because of the clear deprivations those in the region will keep suffering from some ethnic groups in the nation.
The Political Science professor said because of the obvious denials that Igbos have faced from the political structures of Nigeria, Igbo men are not even as interested as they were before.
According to him, Igbos should instead focus on achieving a safe geo-political zone that prevents infiltrators.
He added that he feels every geo-political zone in Nigeria should replicate the South-West’s security outfit, Operation Amotekun.
His words, “I don’t see any Igbo man emerging as President in 2023 and I think Igbo people are no longer interested in that thing you call presidency.”
