Warri Wolves attacking midfielder, Ikechukwu Ibenegbu has said he is quite happy to be back to the senior national team, Super Eagles.
The skillful playmaker is among the 26 domestic professionals Super Eagles manager, Sunday Oliseh named in his provisional list for the upcoming fourth African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Kigali, Rwanda early next year.
The bronze winners are pitched in Group C together with Niger Republic, Tunisia and Guinea.
Ibenegbu said he will give 100% performance to ensure Nigeria emerge winners in Kigali, Rwanda.
“I’m happy to be among the players invited to camp in preparation for the African Nations Championship ( CHAN ) in Rwanda.
“It’s the dream and wish of every player to play for his senior national team even though I have been there in the past I’m still excited to be back.
“I want to believe that discipline, dedication and hardwork must have played crucial role in my invitation so I have decided to give 150% this time to ensure Nigeria win the CHAN title for the first time in Kigali, Rwanda.
“The last CHAN in South Africa we won bronze but we will go the extra mile to clinch the top prize.
“Yes, I was invited to captain the Super Sand Eagles in the Copa Lagos I think I will be more useful with the CHAN Eagles.
“So I’m damn ready to hit the camp on Monday to commence preparations for the most successful championship in Rwanda, ” said the Nigerian and Warri Wolves midfielder to supersport.com.
The championship is expected to hold from January 16 – February 07 with matches billed for the Stade Regional Nyamirambo in Kigali, Rwanda.
