Wife of late Nollywood actor Mr Ibu, Stella Maris, has revealed that she is battling depression. She recently cried out for help on social media, and Nigerians have been reacting.
Sharing a clip of herself on Instagram, Stella said that only those who are close to her can understand how much pain and suffering she has endured in recent times.
Announcing that she is depressed at the moment, Ibu’s widow urged God to answer her prayers and make life comfortable for her and her kids.
“I’m passing through depression right now only those close to me will understand I have suffered a lot I can’t wait for God to answer my prayers my children are the only happiness I have 😭💔 (depression is real),” she wrote.
She further recalled losing her male child, who died 13 years ago from food poisoning, stressing that he was her first son.
Stella concluded by saying that her boy was poisoned in the village and neglected at LUTH before his painful death.
“😭😭😭 13 years ago my first son passed away 😭😭 today supposed to be he’s 16th birthday after they kidnapped me and him my son did not survive I have suffered a lot, we went to the village that’s where they poisoned him we rush him to LUTH they neglected him by saying they don’t have light to test the blood they will give him that’s how my son died in my presence Mandela God will fight for you 😭😭😭 happy posthumous birthday son💔💔💔💔,” she added.
Mr Ibu, who battled an illness for several months, died on March 2, 2024.
Before his death, the talented actor underwent multiple surgeries, including a leg amputation.
