Big Brother Africa 5 winner Uti Nwachukwu has confirmed he is in a relationship.
.
The Nollywood actor and model confirmed reports of a relationship between him and R&B singer Seun Oni better known as Saeon.
.
Uti told Encomium Magazine he’s dating the singer, even going further to reveal how they met and fall in love. ‘It is true that I and Saeon are seeing each other and we are taking it one step at a time. I don’t know how it came to the knowledge of the public. Saeon likes her privacy just like me too,’ he told Encomium.
.
When Saeon was reached, the singer refused to confirm or deny the report, insisting that her only concern is her music and nothing else. ‘It is out there already, I don’t want to confirm or deny anything. I am only focused on my music. I’m releasing a song which features Wizkid tomorrow and that’s my only concern for now,’ she said.
.
This confusing show of romance comes after the anti-gay law was recently passed by the Federal Government and sources close to Uti have confirmed to NET, that the ‘Jara’ presenter is only making a frantic effort to remove the gay tag off his name to avoid a run-in with the law.
.
Sources said Uti and Saeon are just friends. ‘Uti is not dating Saeon, he is just trying to show off so people will stop tagging him as gay. It is a perfect match with Saeon, because she on the other hand is trying to promote her music. Any publicity now, whether good or bad will help her career’.
.
The actor has been trailed by gay rumours since his emergence in the Nigerian entertainment scene. Though both have constantly denied any sort of sexual relationship between them, his closeness to fellow actor Alexx Ekubo has raised eyebrows.
.
He has also been linked with an opposite sex as in the case of TV personality, Eku Edewor who denied the reports.

Of course I’ve never believed the gay rumours. Nigerians can just spread anything.
