Real Madrid midfielder, Toni Kroos has come out to reveal that his wife is the reason he signed his new contract at the club. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, his wife allowed him to continue for another year because he could not have stayed without her permission.
Kroos added that he still enjoys playing football and he really wants more titles in Spain.
His words, “My wife let me. So I was allowed to continue for another year,”
“There are one or two negative examples of people simply not being able to leave football, when you are no longer the player that people have in mind. I don’t want that to happen to me. I have the feeling that this season has gone as well as the last nine in Madrid. Why wouldn’t the next one go just as well? I still enjoy football and I’m hungry for titles.”
