– Imago Techmedia launches new event focused on smart thinking for the Internet of Things –
London, Monday 3 March: Imago TechMedia, the specialist technology event organiser, has unveiled a ground-breaking new event, Connected World Expo – the Internet of Things. It will run from 21-22 April 2015 at London Olympia and will be co-located with Connected Business Expo, the leading communication and collaboration technology event.
Connected World Expo is set to be a pioneering B2B exhibition for the next generation of smart technologies and services to support the Internet of Things (IoT), and will showcase the current state of the market and its likely future direction.
A major theme of the event will be the significant benefits that IoT will bring to end-user companies from a wide variety of industry sectors over the coming years. It’s about more than just the proliferation of smart devices: attendees will get the chance to learn about the full range of technologies required to capitalise on the opportunities this game-changing trend will deliver from the sophisticated networks, systems and software needed to collect and store the data that smart devices transmit, to the tools needed to analyse it and to turn it into actionable intelligence.
Vertical market sessions will discuss innovations, strategies and best practice that enable business advantage from next generation technology, software, and services for Smart cities, Smart commerce, Smart healthcare, Smart vehicles and Smart Industry; while expert technology sessions will focus on the next generation choices for devices, platforms, infrastructure and applications in the IoT space. Connected World Expo will allow attendees to meet with leading suppliers of the technologies that underpin IoT, as well as gain a deeper understanding of its potential, through a wealth of case studies and practical demonstrations.
“This is an incredibly exciting time for the technology industry as we shift from the internet of people to the internet of things. Smart devices are everywhere – from manufacturing plants and oil rigs to hospitals and offices” says Duncan Kirk, chief operating officer, Imago Techmedia.
“No industry sector will be untouched by this trend – although organisations in the insurance, utilities and manufacturing sectors will be among the first to start realising its potential. Connected World Expo will enable attendees to explore the potential impact that a new world of M2M interactions will have on their own market sector and to learn how they can benefit from the opportunities, such as improved productivity, efficiency and growth, that the Internet of Things will deliver.”
