The Imo State chapter of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, has intensified preparations for the 2027 general elections with a strategic meeting involving all 27 Local Government Area Chairmen of the party.
The meeting, held at the party’s office in New Owerri, brought together LGA Chairmen and key stakeholders, who reaffirmed their commitment to securing a resounding victory for the ADC in the forthcoming polls.
Speaking during the session, the State Chairman, James Okoroma, said the gathering demonstrated the party’s growing influence, unity and internal cohesion.

He noted that the ongoing membership drive and revalidation exercise had further strengthened the ADC’s political presence across the state.
Okoroma commended the LGA Chairmen for their maturity, sacrifice and effective coordination in the distribution and return of Ward Party Registers, describing their efforts as crucial to the party’s organisational progress.
He stressed the importance of grassroots mobilisation, urging party leaders at ward and LGA levels to remain inclusive, disciplined and committed. According to him, expanding the party’s reach and attracting new members remain central to ADC’s strategy ahead of 2027.
Responding on behalf of the LGA Chairmen, Omah Pius Omah praised the State Working Committee for its visionary and people-oriented leadership. He reaffirmed their collective resolve to deepen grassroots engagement and work together to ensure victory for the ADC in the next general elections.
