The results of the governorship election in Bayelsa, scheduled for November 11, would be transmitted manually, INEC said.
This was announced on Wednesday in Yenagoa by the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in the State, Mr Obo Effanga, at a meeting with religious leaders and faith-based organizations.
Effanga assured the public that the elections would be free, fair, and credible, and that only voters with BVAS accreditation would be able to cast ballots.

You may begin voting as soon as you are handed a ballot.
PVC collection, which has been ongoing for four weeks, will conclude on October 11. If you haven’t picked up your cards yet, you can do so at the INEC office serving your area of government, he said.
Effanga pleaded with interested parties to encourage calm among their candidates.
He urged religious leaders to spread the word to their congregations and any elected officials who are also devout Christians.
There were sixteen different political parties represented in the election, he noted.
Rev. Joseph Belema, one of the religious leaders, praised INEC, saying that holding elections that are free, fair, and trustworthy is the best approach to elect capable leaders.
He urged the hopefuls running for office to remember that only one of them could win the election. (NAN)
