Injured Enyimba FC striker Christian Obiozor will be sidelined for one month. It was reported that he had a knee injury.
Obiozor has not featured for the People’s Elephants since their game at Enugu Rangers on 19 July.
The club had thought the injury to his left leg was minor but subsequent scans have revealed a damage to his cruciate ligament, according to the side’s media officer Farriel Alaputa.
The team doctor Ferdinand Ajere says the 20-year-old will be out for four weeks.
Obiozor joined from Kano Pillars earlier this season and has scored six times in the Glo Premier League for the six-time Nigerian champions.
Enyimba are at home to Pillars on Wednesday, 19 August in a Match Day 24 encounter.
