Inna Galadima of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has made history by becoming the Chairman-elect of Jere Local Government Area (LGA) in Borno State.
This victory marks her as the first female to be elected council chairman in the state, as reported by the News Agency of Nigeria.
Galadima, a former commissioner and special adviser in Borno, secured her win with an impressive 110,459 votes, as announced by the Returning Officer of Jere LGA, Prof. Mohammed Konto Her closest rival from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) trailed behind with 2,478 votes.

As the results from other LGAs in Saturday’s election continue to come in, it appears that APC candidates are leading the race.
