Since the announcement by the CEO of Ebonylife TV, Mo Abudu that there would be a sequel to last year’s blockbuster, “The Wedding Party,“ there has been rumors of a rift between herself and Kemi Adetiba.
The rumours stem from the replacement of the movie producer as the director of the sequel as she is responsible for the first part.
In an exclusive interview, Kemi addressed the rumours, reiterating that her relationship with Abudu remains solid although she refused to give an official statement on the issue.
She said, “There’s really nothing to it, I’m still very good friends with the house, I speak to them everyday.
“I don’t want to make a statement right now, I’m still very close to Mo Abudu there’s no phony business going on. A statement will be out soon though.”
Niyi Akinmolayan, who helmed the 2016 movie “The Arbitration,” is directing the sequel which will also feature Omoni Oboli, Seyi Law and Chigurl alongside the original cast.
