On the third day after Palestinian militants conducted a spectacular and intricate surprise attack in Israel, President Joe Biden revealed that at least 11 American citizens had been killed in the bloodshed.
President Joe Biden released a statement calling the fatalities the “heart wrenching” result of a “appalling terrorist assault against Israel.”
He claimed that American officials feared members of the Hamas armed group were being held hostage.

The United States, he noted, is cooperating with Israel to resolve the hostage situation.
“This is not some far-off tragedy,” the President stated.
Israel and the United States share strong bonds. “This attack is hitting close to home for so many American families,” the President said.
It was not immediately known if any of the murdered Americans were from New York, which is home to over 1.6 million Jews.
On Monday, police officers were seen in large numbers at synagogues across New York City.
Flights to and from Israel have been suspended by major U.S. carriers.
According to Representative Grace Meng’s office, at least fifty New Yorkers were trying to return from Israel on Monday.
According to the State Department, they have been in touch with the relatives of the deceased Americans.
The crisis, which has already claimed the lives of over 1,300 Palestinians, escalated on Monday when Israel launched a massive retaliatory assault on the blockaded Gaza Strip.
According to the IDF, at least 700 Israelis have been killed.
On Monday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said that 687 Palestinians had lost their lives.
