Manchester City midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne has come out to say that receiving no new contract offer from the club wasn’t nice. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he was definitely shocked when he found out that he would not be offered a contract extension at City, but he had to accept the club’s decision and prepare for his exit.

KDB added that he told Txiki Begiristain and Ferran Soriano that he still has a lot to give, but they maintained their decision regardless.
His words, “There was a little bit (of shock) when he found out he wouldn’t be offered a contract extension. I didn’t have any offer from them through the whole year and the club made a decision. Obviously, I was a bit surprised but I have to accept it. Honestly, I still think I can perform at this level like I’m showing but I understand that clubs have to make decisions. It was half a week till I reported it out and it wasn’t nice. My family weren’t home. They were on holiday so it was a bit weird but it is what it is… I told (Txiki Begiristain, sporting director and Ferran Soriano, CEO) that I feel like I still have a lot to give. I know I’m not 25 anymore, but I still feel like I can do my job.”
WOW.
