I’ve Not Hit My Peak Yet – Rashford

Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford has come out to say that he is willing to leave the club. He recently had his say amid talk that the club is ready to sell him in January, and fans have been reacting.

According to him, he believes he is now ready for a new challenge as a footballer, and because he has seen how poorly certain MUFC exits have been handled in the past, he intends to control his own narrative until he leaves.

Rashford added that he is halfway through his career right now, so he has not even hit his peak yet.

His words, “For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps. When I leave it’s going to be ‘no hard feelings’. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s me as a person.

If I know that a situation is already bad I’m not going to make it worse. I’ve seen how other players have left in the past and I don’t want to be that person. When I leave I’ll make a statement and it will be from me.

I’m halfway through my career. I don’t expect my peak to be now. I’ve had nine years so far in the Premier League and that’s taught me a lot, that’s helped me grow as a player and as a person.

So I don’t have any regrets from the last nine years. I won’t have any regrets going forward because I take things day by day and sometimes bad things happen, and sometimes good things happen. I just try and keep a fine balance. 100%. That’s my mentality.”

Manchester United Football Club, commonly referred to as Man United or simply United, is a professional football club based in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England. The club competes in the Premier League, the top division in the English football league system.

The club appeared in two consecutive League Cup finals in 1991 and 1992, beating Nottingham Forest 1–0 in the second to win that competition for the first time as well.
