England striker Jamie Vardy has been cautioned by his manager Roy Hodgson ahead of his wedding on Wednesday, May 24.
Vardy will be wedding his fiancée Rebekah Nicholson in Cheshire. The striker who is currently in England camp ahead of Euro 2016 has been given a leave by Hodgson because of his wedding.
He has however been warned by Hodgson not to party too much or misbehave during his wedding.
“I’m really not concerned. I hope he will be sensible and I believe he will be sensible,” Hodgson is quoted to say by Daily Mail.
“I know he really is desperate to be selected to go to the Euros and do a good job so I’m pretty confident when I see him on Saturday morning he will be fine.
“By all means feel free to ask if he intends to let down his hair and do some stupid things after the wedding — and if the answer is yes, feel free to batter him.”
Vardy’s England teammates will not be able to attend the wedding except his fellow Leicester City player Danny Drinkwater who will be his best man at the ceremony.
The striker will miss England’s friendly against Australia on Friday, May 27.
