Out of the total N21 billion Infrastructural Special Grants Package authorized by the Federal Government, the Jigawa State Government has reported receiving N7 billion.
To finish up the many projects left unfinished by the Government of Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, the state is rumored to have approved a supplementary budget of N44.7bn.
After the third meeting of the State Executive Council on Wednesday, Umar Gantsa, Commissioner of Budget and Economic Planning for Jigawa State, declared that the new APC government is committed to improving people’s level of living.

When explaining the supplementary budget, Babangida said that N13 billion would go to the ministry of works and transport, N3 billion would go to the ministries of health and education, and the rest would be used for other services that would benefit the people of the state.
The commissioner of information, youth, sport, and culture in Kafin Hausa local government added that the council had approved spending more than N192m on extending drainages.
It was reported that Jigawa State’s budget for the upcoming fiscal year, 2023, was N185 billion.
