Stoke City manager, Michael O’Neill has come out to hail John Obi Mikel for his performance in their 1-0 victory over Rotherham United.
He recently hailed the ex Super Eagles midifielder for his fine display alongside Jordan Thompson and Nick Powell.
According to him, Mikel has amazing presence in midfield and having a player like Jordan close to him complements the team very well.
He added that Stoke City really stood up to a very physical challenge and he is happy with the 3 points.
His words, “In all honesty, it’s not probably the kind of game that Jordan thrives in but John was excellent a great presence, and Jordan was important beside him,”
“I thought Nick Powell was terrific as well. He was that good link between the midfield and Steven Fletcher.
“We stood up to a very physical challenge and we’re delighted to get the three points.”
