Manchester United appear to be imminently preparing their summer overhaul to appease Jose Mourinho, with the Sunday Star reporting that a £30 million bid has been submitted for Germany international Julian Draxler.
The Wolfsburg star has been linked with a move to Old Trafford, as Mourinho looks for attacking talent to revitalise the Red Devils, with Borussia Dortmund’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan also a target. Talks have taken place already for the 22-year-old, though Wolfsburg seem reluctant to sell just a year after capturing Draxler from Schalke for £25.5 million.
Mourinho might prefer Draxler to Mkhitaryan, due to the former’s versatility, which could help United’s attack to be more fluid, with Anthony Martial capable of playing both from the left or through the middle.
