The Kaduna State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated Fidelix Bagudu of Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, Isa Haruna Muhammed of Zaria Kewaye State Constituency, and Dahiru Umar-Sani of Basawa State Constituency, on their victories in the by-elections held on Saturday, 16 August 2025.
In a statement issued by the APC State Secretary, Yahaya Baba Pate, the party described the victories as more than electoral successes, noting that they represent a strong endorsement of the progressive ideals championed by the APC at both state and national levels.
According to the statement, the triumphs highlight the enduring appeal of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the inclusive, people-centred governance style of Governor Uba Sani, which, it said, continues to redefine participatory democracy in Kaduna State.

The party also stressed that reclaiming victory in Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency — an area long regarded as an opposition stronghold for over two decades — was a clear sign of changing political dynamics in the state.
“The APC extends deep gratitude to the electorate for their overwhelming support,” the statement read.
“We assure the people that our newly elected lawmakers will honour this trust with purposeful, transparent, and responsive representation.
They will serve not only as voices for their constituencies but also as ambassadors of the shared aspirations of the people.”
