The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State has inaugurated a 17-member Reconciliation Committee tasked with uniting the party and resolving internal grievances.
Speaking during the inauguration on Wednesday, the state PDP Chairman, Edward Percy Masha, charged the committee to reconcile all aggrieved members across the state.
He emphasized the importance of the assignment, giving the committee a two-month timeframe to complete its work.

“The committee was constituted to reconcile all aggrieved members of the party offended in one way or another in the course of political activities,” Masha stated.
He directed the committee to visit all 23 local government areas of the state to meet with and reconcile affected members.
Masha expressed confidence in the committee’s ability to resolve the challenges facing the party and urged all members to support the leadership in addressing internal issues.
The chairman further highlighted that the committee is expected to submit periodic reports on its activities to ensure progress and transparency.
In his response, the Chairman of the Reconciliation Committee, Alhaji Shu’iabu Idris Mikati, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve and pledged to give his best to achieve the committee’s objectives.
“We will, by God’s grace, dedicate ourselves to the success of this reconciliation effort,” Mikati said, urging his fellow committee members to commit fully to the task ahead.
The Reconciliation Committee is expected to play a key role in strengthening unity and addressing internal grievances within the Kaduna PDP ahead of future political engagements.
