Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, on Friday received Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Senator Rufai Hanga at his office in Abuja.
The meeting comes amid growing speculation that the senator may defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Hanga is reportedly considering leaving the NDC after allegedly missing out on the party’s Kano Central Senatorial ticket, the deputy governorship slot and other political appointments.
Earlier this week, the senator received the APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, and a delegation of Kano State APC executive members at his residence.
Details of Friday’s meeting between Governor Yusuf and Senator Hanga were not immediately available as of the time of filing this report.
