Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has announced plans to reshuffle his cabinet to bring in fresh talent capable of driving the state forward.
The governor stated that the move aligns with his commitment to remove underperforming members and replace them with individuals who meet the administration’s performance standards.
Speaking on Friday at the Government House after receiving a report from the committee on cabinet member performance, Yusuf said the public would soon witness the next steps in his reorganization efforts.

The governor highlighted his administration’s dedication to achieving tangible results and retaining public confidence.
He also noted that none of the current commissioners secured their positions through lobbying. Instead, he appointed them based on experience, credibility, and extensive consultations.
“What I expect from my commissioners is loyalty to me, to the NNPP, and to the Kwankwasiyya Movement, along with dedication to their roles and innovative ideas for the state’s development,” he stated.
Regarding poverty alleviation, Governor Yusuf shared that his administration has been distributing free foodstuffs across urban and rural areas to ease the hardship brought on by the fuel subsidy removal.
He assured that these efforts would continue to support less-privileged citizens.
Additionally, the governor announced upgrades at KASCO, the state’s fertilizer production company, aiming to boost food production by providing sufficient supplies to farmers.
