Kano State Governor and New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) member Abba Kabir Yusuf has stated that the State Tribunal Judgement nullifying his election is merely a temporary setback.
It would not dampen my principles as we will continue to accomplish the activities we have started for the wonderful people of Kano State,” Yusuf said in response to the verdict.
He declared that they are “convinced beyond reasonable doubt” that there were numerous mistakes and incorrect interpretations of the law in the judgment, and that it will be overturned on appeal and at the Supreme Court.

People of Kano turned out in droves to vote for me, therefore no one can sit back and try to overturn my election, he declared.
He urged his followers and the rest of Kano’s population to remain peaceful, law-abiding citizens.
We are still in control and will convene our regular weekly Executive Council Meeting tomorrow to discuss potential commendable initiatives, despite the ruling.
He highlighted that the verdict would not affect their spirits because it was only a short setback and that they would eventually see justice at the Supreme Court.
