    Kanu Nwankwo Salute African Champions U-23 Eagles, Siasia

    Nwankwo KanuFormer Super Eagles captain Nwankwo Kanu and Hapoel Be’er Sheva midfielder John Ogu, have congratulated the U-23 Eagles after they won the CAF U-23 Cup of Nations.

    Two goals from Oghenekaro Etebo gave Nigeria U-23s a 2-1 win against Algeria in the final decided inside the Leopald Sedar Senghor Stadium, Dakar on Saturday.

    Reacting to the win Kanu saluted coach Samson Siasia and his crew for a good job.

    “Congratulations Siasia and your coaching staff and the team we are proud of all of you. Champions of Africa, U-23 well done, the Dream Team,” Atlanta ’96 gold winner Kanu wrote on his Twitter handle.

    On his part, Ogu wrote: “I should get our U-23 players football boots as a gift for winning tonight against Algeria. Congrats Dream Team.”
