Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has affirmed that the state government maintains a cordial working relationship with all security agencies operating within the state.
Governor Radda made this known while hosting four police officers from the state command who received special awards from the Inspector General of Police for their exemplary performance in combating insecurity in the state.
The governor commended the security personnel for their unwavering support and dedication in addressing the state’s security challenges, emphasizing the government’s pride in their sacrifices.

He highlighted ongoing collaboration between the state government and security agencies to tackle insecurity affecting both the state and the country at large.
To recognize their outstanding contributions, Governor Radda announced a reward of N5.5 million for the four officers.
The breakdown of the rewards is as follows: N2 million for Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Andrew Alphonsus, N1.5 million for Superintendent of Police (SP) Ibrahim Garba, and N1 million each for Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP) Awal Kabir and Iro Shuaibu.
Earlier, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, accompanied the awardees to the Governor’s House, noting that the awards were given by the Inspector General of Police to motivate personnel across the country for their outstanding efforts in combating insecurity.
Governor Radda assured continued collaboration and support from the state government to the security agencies to achieve their common goals in ensuring safety and security in Katsina State.
