Popular comedian Bovi Ugboma has penned an emotional tribute to late filmmaker, Kayode Peters. He recently recounted how their friendship started many years ago.
Sharing via his social media page, Bovi disclosed that his relationship with the director began on a rough note.

According to him, he once reached out to the late producer to seek guidance on how to properly create a sitcom, but Kayode categorically told him that he wouldn’t have time to do that.
Narrating how he was ready to learn from the filmmaker during his lunch breaks, Bovi revealed that Kayode Peters didn’t stop keeping him waiting.
“Our relationship had a rocky start and I bore an artificial grudge against you. I had only just met you and you didn’t give me your time when I requested it.
The time for our meeting never came. I also never waited,” he wrote.
Sharing that he later reconnected with the late actor and they became very good friends, the comedian said that the “My Flatmates” creator went on to direct some of his best works.
Bovi concluded by praying to God to keep strengthening the young family that the late Kayode Peters left behind.
“You would go on to direct some of my finest works. Your passion was unquestionable. Your input was admirable.
Our last phone conversation, I told you I wanted us to do something different. I told you it was time to shoot what was real. You asked me to hurry. You told me to put all your works in one place for easy access. You said this with pride. You said this with optimism.
You left when it was just about to get better. May God strengthen your family. Rest well KP!” he added.
