The Kogi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has reaffirmed its commitment to penalize members who undermined the party’s success in the November 11, 2023, governorship election.
Conversely, the party has assured unwavering members of substantial rewards for their dedication.
Alhaji Abdullahi Bello, the party’s chairman, made this known during the submission of the Election Review Committee’s report, which was inaugurated three weeks prior.

Bello lauded the committee for its thoroughness and pledged to implement its recommendations.
In addition to promising rewards for steadfast stakeholders, leaders, and members, Bello emphasized the party’s recognition of their efforts and assured that their contributions would be duly acknowledged.
Co-chairing the committee, Bashir Abubakar Gegu, highlighted the committee’s extensive engagement with stakeholders and members to gather pertinent information.
He urged the party to prioritize logistics, security, mobilization, and timely fund disbursement for future elections’ seamless conduct.
Gegu stressed the need for disciplinary action against erring members and advocated for commendations for those who significantly contributed to the party’s triumph.
The committee’s formation stemmed from allegations that some APC members collaborated with the opposition party in the previous election.
Chaired by the Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Umar Aliyu Yusuf, and with Dr. Usman Ogbo Salisu as the secretary, the committee was tasked with evaluating the election process and recommending necessary actions.
