The Kogi State House of Assembly has approved three nominees presented by Governor Yahaya Bello after a thorough screening process.
The nominees, Abdulraheem Ohiare for the role of Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Security Trust Fund, Abdulrazaq Mohammed for the position of Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Universal Basic Education Board, and Sule Saliu Enehe for the role of Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Internal Revenue Service, underwent rigorous questioning by the Committee of the Whole on Tuesday.
In his remarks, the Speaker of the House, Aliyu Umar Yusuf, urged the newly appointed officials to bring their expertise to their respective roles and contribute positively to the state’s development.
Following their successful screening, the nominees expressed their gratitude to Governor Yahaya Bello for the opportunity to serve and pledged to justify the confidence placed in them.
During the plenary session, Yusuf Zakari Eneve, the representative of Okene II Constituency, commended the state government for its transparent process in selecting the new Paramount ruler in Ebiraland, His Royal Majesty, Mohammed Anaje.
The House also honored the fallen heroes who have sacrificed their lives in service to Nigeria and safeguarding its territorial integrity.
