King Sunny Ade joins a select few of some of the world’s greatest artistes whose musical instruments have been preserved at the revered Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) in Pheonix, Arizona, USA.
The two-time Grammy nominee and iconic juju musician have a career that spans over two decades with more than 120 albums to his name.
King Sunny Ade is easily considered as one of the most influential musicians of his time.
Although he has pioneered modern world music, KSA has remained true to the true form of his music style.
MIM houses at least 16,000 instruments showcased to tourists on a daily basis, instruments belonging to the likes of the Beatles’ John Lenon, Stradivarius and Taylor Swift’s guitar.
KSA only celebrated his 70th birthday in Houston, Texas last month and has plans for more celebrations in the country this month.
He is also gearing up for the celebration of his 50 years on stage in December.
