The Kwara State Government has issued a stern warning to principals of Junior Secondary Schools and head teachers of primary schools in the state against imposing illegal charges for the state placement examination (Common Entrance).
Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu, the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, emphasized that the common entrance examination is free and fully sponsored by the state government.
She stated that any individual or group attempting to extort money from pupils under any guise will face severe legal consequences.

The commissioner urged school administrators to uphold ethical standards and avoid actions that could tarnish the reputation of the state government.
She also cautioned against involvement in examination malpractices, emphasizing the current administration’s zero-tolerance policy towards such misconduct.
Hajia Modibbo Kawu encouraged parents and guardians to report any suspicious behavior by principals or head teachers directly to her office.
She assured the public that her office is open to receiving such reports and taking necessary actions to address any wrongdoing.
