The Lagos State Police Command has rescued two kidnap victims and launched a manhunt for their abductors following an attack in the Ijede area of Ikorodu.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the development in a statement issued on Sunday.
According to Hundeyin, the victims were abducted on Wednesday, March 27, when suspected kidnappers invaded the Ijede community.

“The command received information that some kidnappers invaded the Ijede community and kidnapped two people,” he stated.
Investigations revealed that the criminals forcefully entered the home of a 40-year-old man, killed his dog, and abducted him. They then broke into a nearby house and kidnapped the landlord’s 25-year-old daughter.
Hundeyin disclosed that after intensive efforts, police operatives, in collaboration with a joint task force, successfully rescued the victims on Saturday, March 29.
He assured residents that security forces were working tirelessly to track down the kidnappers and bring them to justice.
