Thank God for Khloe Kardashian! The reality star has continued to stand by her ex, Lamar Odom’s side since his drug overdose episode in October and without her, he may not have been alive today neither would his recovery be this smooth. Close sources claim, the ex NBA champ is been motivated to fight to get better for his ex-wife!
“Khloe has been his inspiration,” an insider exclusively tells Hollywood Life. “He still has caregivers to keep an eye on him, but he’s been practicing basketball and hitting the gym and weight room. His dreams of returning to the NBA may be far from reality, but his hope of what might be possible is keeping him motivated to make progress and work hard every day. Just like returning to the NBA may be a pipe dream, so is a reconciliation with Khloe, but both are dreams of his and keep him dedicated to work hard. If he can achieve either dream, NBA or get back with Khloe, it would be the ultimate comeback.”
As we previously reported, the 31-year-old called off her divorce from Lamar while he was in the hospital last year so she could make medical decisions for him, and while she’s been clear that they’re not back together, she also has not ruled out a romantic reunion or doubt their love for each other.
“I don’t think anything, like, romantically about Lamar,” she explained on the March 9 episode of Kocktails With Khloe. “I’m coming from a place of complete care and concern and I want Lamar’s well-being, but people find that so bizarre for some reason. I genuinely care about someone’s well-being and I want them to be happy. When you spend that many years with someone, they will always be in your life.”
Lamar made his first ever public appearance since his near-death experience at Kanye West’s Yeezy show in February, with Khloe and the entire Kardashian family by his side
