Customers tapping LANDESK for integrated, long-term solution to the challenges of user management
London, United Kingdom – 18th February, 2014 – As the IT industry settles into the first quarter of 2014, the requirements of the ‘always on’ end-user work style continue to dominate the conversation. Today, people want to be able to use their preferred devices — which are running a variety of operating systems — to access any applications they need to do their jobs. This means integrated IT approaches are no longer merely progressive IT concepts; they are requirements. LANDESK is leading the charge to enable IT to shift to a new user-oriented mindset which recognizes that the enablement of the user, and his or her sphere of technology influence, takes precedence over management of devices alone. This focus on user-oriented IT has resonated with customers, leading LANDESK to 52% new bookings growth resulting in 26% revenue growth in 2013 with a strong sales pipeline going into 2014.
“Because customers are changing the way they are buying and using IT, LANDESK brought a new generation of tools and services to market in 2013 to help IT embrace the speed of change and empower them to help users be their most productive,” said Steve Daly, CEO of LANDESK. “Our strategy to support IT’s transition to this user-oriented world with a comprehensive portfolio that doesn’t require the investment in, and integration of, multiple point products from multiple vendors is behind the tremendous momentum we are experiencing.”
- Growth Continues to Outpace Market: LANDESK has delivered seven quarters of sequential, profitable growth, consistently outperforming the IT Operations Management market segment, and ending 2013 with 26% year-over-year revenue growth. As part of this growth 15 deals each over $1 million were booked in 2013 compared to only 3 deals over $1 million in the previous year. This impressive growth is driven by the adoption of LANDESK’s integrated user management solutions that address BYOD, the consumerization of IT and user self-service. These trends are prevalent in both mid-sized organizations and large enterprises, where IT teams are grappling with how to reign in the increasing complexity resulting from users working with multiple devices and software sets.
- Volume and Size of Deals Increases: Throughout 2013, LANDESK saw deal volume increase steadily, and revenue shift towards larger enterprise-focused agreements. The average deal size increased 58%, and LANDESK experienced robust growth in new bookings – a 52% year-over-year increase.
- Acquisition Success: LANDESK’s acquisitions of Wavelink in 2012, and Shavlik in 2013, continue to contribute to its overall revenue growth. These acquisitions extended LANDESK’s offerings with end-to-end mobile management and innovative agentless patch management respectively, both of which are critical components of today’s IT landscape. Shavlik exited the year with strong growth in new bookings and opened new routes to market with two-tier distribution opportunities in the channel and with OEMs. New bookings for Wavelink surpassed double digit growth, and Wavelink’s Speakeasy product experienced sales growth of over 460%.
“With a strong 2013 in the rearview mirror, we are energized by the significant opportunities in front of LANDESK in 2014, the greatest of which is partnering with our existing customers to help them implement and experience the significant productivity benefits of our solutions which enable User-oriented IT,” added Daly.
