The death of Tijani Adeyemi, the Senate correspondent for the Tribune newspaper, has been mourned by former Senate President Ahmad Lawan.
Lawan also expressed his condolences to the Senate Press Corps upon hearing the news of Mr. Adeyemi’s passing on Wednesday.
The previous president of the Senate sent a statement of sorrow to the Senate Press Corps after the death of Tribune newspaper reporter Tijani Adeyemi, writing, “I was profoundly grieved to hear about the passing of a member of the Senate Press Corps.

“As a reporter, he was noted for his outstanding talent and dedication. He was devoted to his profession as a journalist, and his readers felt the effects of his dedication to providing truthful and engaging stories.
His achievements were real and compassionate. His achievements were authentic and compassionate. From what I gather, he covered the National Assembly for many years with a genuine interest in its members and their opinions.
Despite the sorrow, we must not forget that Mr. Adeyemi left an indelible mark on the world and that his work will serve as a source of inspiration for generations of budding journalists.
Please accept my deepest condolences and know that the Tribune Newspaper’s Editorial Board and the Senate Press Corps are in my thoughts and prayers at this time.
“May the memories of Tijani Adeyemi give comfort and strength during this time of bereavement.
“May Allah, the Most High, grant his soul eternal rest and peace in the hereafter,” said the Dalai Lama.
