Leicester City have been defying the odds all season – and Ben Chilwell says the Foxes’ current run of form gives them a great chance of knocking Tottenham Hotspur out of The FA Cup.
Claudio Ranieri’s charges will entertain Spurs at the King Power Stadium in Wednesday night’s third round replay, following a 2-2 draw at White Hart Lane.
The two sides also met in the Premier League last week, with Robert Huth heading a late winner for Leicester, who are second in the table on goal difference.
And England Under-20 international Chilwell believes his team-mates can produce another notable performance in what has so far been a season of highs.
“It [recent performances] gives us massive confidence,” Chilwell told Leicester’s official website.
“Everyone was disappointed with the result against Villa [a 1-1 draw] because it would have been nice to get six points during the week but to get the win against Tottenham in midweek was massive and we could have won on Saturday too.
“So to put those performances in gives us massive confidence going into Wednesday to get another win.
“We have an idea of the team they might play and the style they’ll play – that’s pressing high, playing football and having possession.
“We know what we’re up against and the gaffer has been doing lots of stuff with us looking forward to the game and we’re all looking forward to it.”
Leicester City have never won The FA Cup, but they have been runners-up four times, most recently in 1969.
