Leicester City striker, Kelechi Iheanacho has come out to urge his fellow players to fight until the end after their latest defeat vs Everton in the EPL.
He recently revealed that it was a difficult defeat vs the Merseyside club and it was definitely not good enough from the players.
According to him, the boys have to get back to the drawing board asap to get back to winning ways, because the fight for top 4 is on and hot.
He added that the mentality to fight until the end has to be present henceforth, else, the fine performance the boys gave when the season started would’ve been in vain.
His words, “It’s absolutely a tough one [to take]. We need to do more. It’s not good enough from us,”
“We just need to get back and work on training. We got a goal back and we got a couple of chances, but unfortunately, we lost.
“We need to do more and get back to winning ways. In the next game, we need to fight and get the three points.
“We did a bit more in the second half, but we need to do more if we [want] to compete. We have six games left, so we need to compete.
“We need to get our mentality right, to fight until the end.”
On playing, “Yes, it’s always good to get on the pitch to play and to help my team-mates out,”
“Everyone is important in the team, whenever you’re playing, so you need to give your best and for the team. It’s a collective effort, so you need to do your best whenever you play. [There’s] a lot of games to play.
“Every week, [we’re] playing two games, so we need to just get ready. In three days, we’ll play Crystal Palace, so we need to get ready to play again.”
