Fulham manager, Marco Silva has come out to defend Bernd Leno despite the goalkeeper appearing to push a ball boy in his side’s 3-0 loss at Bournemouth. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, Leno only wanted play to resume quickly when he took the ball from the ball boy, and the controversial push was not strong enough to cause an uproar.

Silva added that the German goalkeeper is a top professional, which was why he apologized regardless.
His words, “I spoke with Bernd before I came off, I saw the moment. I don’t know if it was instruction or not, but the ball boys were always delaying. The game should be the same if one team is winning or not. The ball boys were always delaying, Bernd wanted to play quickly and he took the ball from the ball boy. He didn’t push him, it wasn’t strong enough and he apologised. He is a top professional.”
