The All Progressives Congress (APC) has started selling Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms for chairmanship and councillor elections in Borno State ahead of the upcoming local government poll in January 2024.
According to a statement released by State Publicity Secretary Malam Makinta Zarami, the sales period will run from September 20th through the 28th.
“Interested party members are advised to obtain the form within the stipulated time as there will be no room for an extension,” added Zarami.
The Independent Electoral Commission of Borno State (BOSIEC) had announced the council election schedule on August 2, as reported by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
The BOSIEC election schedule calls for party nomination lists to be submitted by October 16 for preliminary screening and final presentation by November 19.
The election is slated for January 20, 2024, with campaigning by the parties beginning on November 28 and ending on January 18.
