Few days after his seizure, rapper Lil Wayne is in the news again.
After Sunday’s BET Awards, Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz co-hosted an after-party at the Hyde nightclub on Sunset Boulevard in California.
A bouncer who was working the door at the party told TMZ that Wayne punched him in the face while the party was going on.
He claims Wayne got violent after he had refused to let several members of his crew in. According to him, Wayne confronted him when he would not let his crew into the club. The worker was transported to a hospital where he received treatment for minor injuries.
According to TMZ, he has now filed a battery report with the police.
Police are investigating and want to speak to Wayne. They say he could face a misdemeanor battery charge.
TMZ however reached out to the Young Money rapper’s rep who say that the accusation is a lie. According to his reps, Wayne didn’t punch the bouncer and he wasn’t working at the door but the rapper’s VIP section. They say the confrontation occurred because the worker accidentally grabbed Wayne’s arm.
Weezy was nominated for the Best Group at the BET Awards.
