Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag has come out to share positive updates on Bruno Fernandes, Scott McTominay and Marcus Rashford’s fitness. He, however, revealed another Mason Mount blow, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, there are clear doubts for some of his key players to play again this season, but Bruno Fernandes and Scott McTominay have been back on the grass ahead of the Arsenal game.

Erik added that Lisandro Martinez is desperate to play on Sunday against Arsenal, but he is not ready yet.
His words, “I hope I have players, yeah.
Players trained this morning. Bruno was on the pitch and Scott McTominay was back on the pitch. Some players are returning but also I have to report unfortunately yesterday Mason Mount fell out, so he will not be available for Sunday.
We have some doubts [for players to play again this season]. Players are fighting to be available. That is so amazing. They all try. They are all desperate to play.
Yesterday, Licha came to me and wanted to play on Sunday against Arsenal but he’s not ready yet, he needs a little bit more time to go through the process, but he is so desperate. There are more: Rapha Varane, Victor Lindelof. Luke Shaw had a setback in his process as well but there is still hope and he will fight to be available for the final.
(Martinez) is desperate to play, he misses so much, the team missed him. He wants to play but he had three injuries across the season and now he is almost there, injury-free, at the end of the healing process but now he has to get back into team training and into matches. Rashford trained this morning as well. We have to see how he recovered from this but it looks quite good. Hopefully, he makes the training tomorrow and then see if he’s available for Sunday.
I will never gamble with a player, never. It’s about them, it’s about their futures. That’s most important about their careers and I have to take responsibility for it. The club is the most important but the safety, the health of the player is high level. I don’t take big risks with players now to win on Sunday with the risk they drop out again. But I think it’s not so different in a normal situation if you didn’t have a cup final.”
WOW.
Arsenal Football Club is an English professional football club based in Holloway, North London. Arsenal compete in the Premier League, the top flight of English football.
The club has won 13 league titles (including one unbeaten title), a record 14 FA Cups, two League Cups, 17 FA Community Shields, the Football League Centenary Trophy, one European Cup Winners’ Cup and one Inter-Cities Fairs Cup. In terms of trophies won, it is the third-most successful club in English football.
After conducting an overhaul in the club’s operating model to coincide with Wenger’s departure, Spaniard Unai Emery was named as the club’s new head coach on 23 May 2018. He became the club’s first ever ‘head coach’ and second manager from outside the United Kingdom.
In Emery’s first season, Arsenal finished fifth in the Premier League and as runner-up in the Europa League. On 29 November 2019, Emery was dismissed as manager and former player and assistant first team coach Freddie Ljungberg was appointed as interim head coach. On 20 December 2019, Arsenal appointed former club captain Mikel Arteta as the new head coach. Arsenal finished the league season in eighth, their lowest finish since 1994–95, but beat Chelsea 2–1 to earn a record-extending 14th FA Cup win. After the season, Arteta’s title was changed from head coach to manager.
