Wilfred Ndidi is eager to help Leicester City to Carabao Cup glory, but admits that Liverpool is a formidable opposition ahead of the two sides’ meeting on Tuesday.
“Of course we want to win the Cup,” he said. “But we know it will be difficult playing against Liverpool.”
“Everybody knows they’re a big club and they have a great history. But we can’t think about that. We have to focus on the 11 men in front of us and do our job well.”
Ndidi, alongside compatriots Kelechi Iheanacho and Ahmed Musa will represent Nigerian interest in this marquee League Cup fixture, while Egypt’s Mohamed Salah and Senegal’s Sadio Mane represent the rest of the African connection.
