Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher has come out to warn the club to take a stand with their Romeo Lavia pursuit. This is coming after the Reds saw their third bid for the Belgiana worth £45m get rejected by Southampton, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, it is very embarrassing to see how Liverpool have gone about the transfer when they know the club does not have a reputation for dragging negotiations for weeks.
Carragher added that the club should just move on if they believe Southampton’s valuation is not realistic.
His words, “This is embarrassing. Liverpool for years now have got deals done quickly with no fuss. If you don’t think he’s worth 50M move on, if you really want him, pay it. Also not sure why LFC aren’t in for Caicedo, yes it’s a lot of money but Liverpool got big money for Jordan Henderson and Fabinho.”
