Liverpool centre back, Nathaniel Clyne is battling 6 months out of football after suffering an ACL injury in the 3-2 loss to Borussia Dortmund.
Clyne sustained the injury during the closing moments of the pre-season friendly at Notre Dame Stadium, but it has now been confirmed that he has swelling around his knee.
Liverpool’s medical team have revealed that it is the least serious ACL injury the defender could have picked up and he should be back on his feet quicker than expected.
Nathaniel, who is out of contract at the end of the season, flew home from the American tour late on Sunday from Boston.
