Liverpool’s Eight-Point Lead At The Top Is Still Insignificant – Aguero

Manchester City legend, Sergio Aguero has come out to brand Liverpool’s eight-point lead at the top of the Premier League table as insignificant. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.

According to him, the current point advantage for Liverpool can still be insignificant by the end of the season, so football fans should know that the season is not over until it’s over.

Aguero added that MUFC were 8 points ahead of MCFC in the 2011-12 season, but they ended up winning the league.

His words, “Pundits are always quick to call the race and my response is always the same: it ain’t over until it’s over. The current point advantage may be insignificant by the end of the season. We’ve seen that happen frequently. The 2011-12 season had us eight points below United and we took that trophy. Of course, beating Liverpool will certainly help, but it’s not wise to make such sweeping statements when the tournament still has a long way to go.”
